and the standard practice of overcharging

I just priced up adjustable front and rear sway bars for mine from Kmac...and no kidding on crazy pricing from an Aussie company. They are not complicated I reckon for the cost...compared to what stuff costs here at least in my opinion.

I never thought sourcing wheels would be so difficult lol
Especially when you are in Darwin the knowledge and resources are so limited up here

Just have to decide if you want to build the brakes to suit the wheels...or pick out wheels you like then build the brakes to suit them.

But there is a HUGE range of wheels out there...not an easy choice, especially if you are planning on something higher end here (cost wise) versus just off the shelf cheapy stuff...

...when I said "out there" for choice of wheels, I ment "over here" that is, ha ha...

Whilst the site in the following link is down ATM, Toranamat posted this link to a titanium bolt supplier a while back.

I got a set of swaybars and springs off Kmac recently and agree its a total rip, just like 90% of Australian prices from hotrod bits to jeans. People are leaving in Australian businesses in droves because of poor service, lack of knowledge and the double charging. The internet has opened up world wide shopping and suddenly people have realised that we have been stitched and paying far more than many countries for the same products (esp usa).

But yes I used Kmac because I am using a plastic motor in a retro like street hatch. Doing the other hatch its is using tubular chrome-molly custom bars with cockpit adj blades and light weight race coilovers.

Almost too much choice for wheels but its good to be different as Jeff did. Wheels can make or break a car and the style can help or ruin the look of a car. Mono-block billeted wheels are the strongest and lightest you can buy, but they are also hardest to buy for typical Torana offsets because of limited manufacturers doing them.

Just need to make google your friend and take a good look at the many great USA companies that offer great custom stuff for very cheap money.

Thank chopper will look when its back online. Need heap of bolts on the next race version.

Torana offset: +32
AU on Falcon: +36.5

Excuse my ignorance but does this change in regards to width ? ( do I adjust the offset to suit width?)

The 13x5.5 Torana rim is +32, other widths are slightly different. Most Factory and aftermarket AU and later rims are either +35 or +36.5.

If you use an LH - UC front disc that
s beem drilled to Ford stud pattern, an 8" wide AU on rim should clear everything provided it's at least 16" diameter. Keep the rolling diameter under 630mm, otherwise the tyre could rub on the swaybar. It did on mine with a 205/65R15. The 225/50R15 on the same rim cleared everything.

Forgeline or HRE do similar sort of styles with hidden or exposed hardware.

Lots of companies do that sort of style. There are literally hundreds of companies that can custom build you wheels for a Torana, all you need is to choose and pay the dollars. We have got a race set coming from Forgeline and another for the track coming from Finspeed. Wheels are the hardest of choices but the priority for me is strength and weight.
