Modern car design has made almost all cars look similar and boring. Little wonder old cars are getting a resurgence of interest as people try to get well away from the ME TOO late model cars.

Looking more like a small car, say a barina? with every new model. I wish 'big' cars were designed to actually 'look big' not copy the tiny hatch look.
Love my Torana a little more after seeing that crap!

that was bland as frock...the series 2 had to be "ballsed" up to thier taste to sell over there
if they go with the grey vf it may not look as bad
but i'm guessing the yanks want all thier cars looking like a civic/camry/accord...or whatever now
just like thier nascar race series.....

It's only fair that since we are sending you "dunnydores" that you will have return your hatch back here to us in oz where it belongs.
Don't group me in with that...
Hell we can throw in a million cars with the blue oval badge on as a bonus.
We have this clean up Australia drive so sending junk to the USA is one way of reaching the objective.

From my understanding the car will appear similar in some areas as the current model but the roof line will change somewhat as well as the side sytling lines.
I have also been told there will be a new range of engines available with the VF.
The front is totally new, incliding the bonnet and the rear end is more inline with the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu which from my perspective is a great looking 4 door family car.
Anyway, have a look yourself, you be the judge......
Cheers
Alf

Dam sight better looking than any dunnydore. Its been a fact of life that any dunny version wins the yearly best award for ugly bland styling.
I think if anything, it would have been cool to get the ute here. They were going to before GM here went down the toilet...of course the idiots they are, were going to brand it as a Pontiac. I think the ute just called what it should have been.. a Chev El Camino, would have went over awesome here.
But.....that never happened so here we are

Bloody oath, well said.Selling Aussie designed cars into the US is keeping Holden alive. Better than dead! aka ford after 2015 ...

That is the real reason why Aussie utes won't be going to the good 'ole boys.
Someone mentioned the Monaro being bland. Sorry, but in it's original VY form, that was one smooth tasteful design; who remembers the Sydney motor show in 1998 when it was shown? Just because the yanks need to have bits of plastic appendages hanging off a car to think it looks good, doesn't mean it does actually look good. I spend a lot of my life in the US, and there are some hideous looking new 'cars' over here. The biggest problem for the Monaro was that it wasn't made in America.

I disagree....the car never got much press or advertising and seemed like most people didn't even know of it. Same goes for the G8 Pontiac (VE Commodore) everyone you talk too that actually drove or had one (as with the GTO) loved them...but you never saw GM pushing them here really.
The Camaro was designed there in Melbourne and is built in Canada, yet it gets tons of advertising and pushing by GM, and you in turn see them all over the place. (And yes, they are a Commodore underneath basically)
Anyways...I do my part to help Holden over here at least best as I can...ha ha..

My mate was just telling me about a guy looking to do a deal on a VL turbo with a worked engine, etc. Not that they are a nice looking car perse, but would be a heck of a "sleeper" over here.
