Im in the process of putting the dash together and want some opinions on what layout would look best hoodlining/parcel shelf and pinchmoulding are white carpet is black ive picked up a complete woodgrain dash which i was thinking of using

Currently -lower dash painted same colour as body
-guage surround and glovebox painted silver
-crash pad painted white

woodgrain dash option 1 - lower dash light brown parts and crash pad painted white and leave dark woodgrain bits as they are same with dash surround and glovebox leave them both dark woodgrain

woodgrain dash option 2 - lower dash and crash pad painted black with dark woordgrain bits and guage surround and glovebox dark woodgrain aswell

sorta dont like the current lower part all painted pink as it makes it look bland let me know what you all think

Option 2, keep it simple......

Is that an uncut lower dash ?. Could be worth a few bucks

My opinions are Black crash pad, white gauge surround and a black lower panel. Yummy!

I'm for option 2, that is what Tracie's car has.

Where did you manage to find an uncut lower section, been looking for one for ages in black and dark woodgrain, all the ones i've seen are out of my price range might have to clean up the old one and put up with the stereo hole.

Sorry for the hi-jack...

How do the woodgrain sections paint?

I have the dark woodgrain but am leaning towards wanting it black...or grey....or something else?

since your headlining is white, i would go for the white crash pad and lower dash to be painted white. how about painting the middle dash parts pink? wood grain seems a bit out of place. this paint sheme/interior kind of resembles the torana concept car

Also trying to work out what paint to use on my dash, i have moulded some gauge pods into it and need to paint it all black. Was thinking of 2k satin black?

I painted the dash and crash pad with VHT gloss black vinyl paint came up good enough to my standards best way is to do a several light coats rather then one big thick coat i let mine dry in the sun between coats this is the layout i ended up going with

I reckon white with grey carbon fibre would look pretty cool.

Yeah the dash pad looks really good, i think the dash may be a little to shinny but it’s hard to tell from the pic. But yeah not bad at all.

Camera flash makes it look brighter then it really is wasn't keen on painting it white as it would be a pain to keep clean
