I'll start

1. Headlights ... LH are rectngular unless you have a L34 or a 4 cyl.. .they were round ... LX are all round
2. Many trim options
3. Early LH has less pollution equipment... Late LX has everything :)

How many points do you want.... I can think of about another 40+ differences.. .all subtle... but differences all the same

as stated ^ many minor differences but if you are stripping and replacing then one item that gives many headaches is the headlight dipper arrangement.

LX operates via the indicator stalk + a unique toggle relay.

LH....well I dont know what it has...Im guessing it still has the floor button?

LH dipper was still on the floor.

I'll add a couple of things. LH has a double skinned bonnet. LH inside of the boot looking back towards the number plate has more steel there. You will see circles. Also still in the boot looking towards the quarter panels there is more metal toward the top hanging down. Dip switch in the floor. Early LH had the park brake release as a symbol not the regular twist and pull words.

Swear there where different rear seatbelt mounting points between them? One had them on the C-pillar, another on the parcel shelf? My LX was on the shelf and the torailer was an LH and im pretty sure it was on the C-pillar. Not 100% though

Just a couple of LH LX SLR differences. The LH insert on the seats , for example grey golfball insert on the black vynal only went 2/3 of the way up the seats back and front where as the LX went to the top. The LH rear seat was a nicer seat IMO as the backrest was made into a two bucket look seat with raised sections either side. Door trims had the grey golfball in this example in an oval pattern around the armrest in the LH where the LX had it running in a zig zag along the length. Debate still rages over the centre console too with LH's getting the flip up door at the front of the unit and the LX getting a tray instead. ( jury is out) Lima ur right about the white instrument for the LH and yellow for LX.

Yeah that's why I found it weird that a hatchback had square headlights and NO canister?

Black engine bay is OK for very early production LXs & there are 12/75s around, but I do have issue with the square headlights & no canister.

ADR 27 on the compliance plate is correct for a 12/75 build.
