I thought I was building a nice little hatch.

now its time to make my own scoop apparently when you borrow things the owner doesn't want you to cut holes in it so this will be me over the next few weeks

and first time all the suspension been in there

didn't get round to making the scoop  i will be heading over to aussie again later this month for the APSA drags at willowbank and will pick up a scoop and some bumpers from repliglass hope they do good work  anybody else going to that meating ??

Don't low about Repliglass but Alpha do fiberglass bumpers as well.

well still going on this just a bit slower lately have made a rear fire wall to keep tank separate from drivers compartment

 made -12 oil return lines

picked up some bumpers while was in aussie as well now have all my body parts

have started to mount guards properly   have decided to make front all one piece guards ,nose cone, bumper and spoiler the bonnet will be separate

wow if this car is within reason, then theres no reason you can't drive a door slammer to pick up the paper sunday morning, providing its got working lights, horn and wipers lol

and mufflers oh we do have a height restriction half way up the windscreen to 15m in front  haha

time for a bit more choppy have to raise the flare about 60mm so can turn when bottomed out

so this is where were at the front is mostly done

the string line in picture is the height im aloud for cert  hopefully should be ok

we have narrowed up both the bumpers to fit a bit tighter as well

Very very nice, I like the look of it Aaron. Lifting the front arches match in nicely with the rear along that body line & I'm sure that was your plan all along  :D

 

Question for ya - who's the guy doing your cert? & would you know if he's willing to go as far as Te Kauwhata? Cheers man (contact details would be cool)

Neal Miller at modified vehicle certification center ph 078471934 and yes the cert guys do travel they charge km rate

depending on what your doing you may be easier to take in there

Excellent, thanks Aaron. Still unsure of direction, but I know my car has had previous repairs & as far as I'm aware I'll need a repair certifier even though the body work has been done a few years ago, which possibly means stripping the car right back.

Just hope I don't have to redo some of the repairs but I guess the repair cert guy will let me know.
