. Those who chucked a hissy fit today and drove out of the display when they were told "no parade lap", you should be ashamed of yourselves.
I hope you dont expect to be invited to any events in the future, how bloody ungrateful

The people running V8 supercars only have one motive and that is money. Watching formula fords go around the track gave you a motive and opportunity to go to the boys room or to get a feed. For the compeditors it may be great but Bathurst is about touring cars. Holden vFord V8,s battling it out is what has kept it alive. To have seen 140 XU1,s doing a parade lap would have made my weekend complete. 80-100 g may have made it happen. The almighty dollar is going to kill the event and serve them right. Why is Tony Cocharine jumping ship as he was the one who saw the need when we were saddled with 2 litre racing. As from next year nascars have to look like the cars they represent and we are going the other way. To have had group C and A cars buzzing around the mountain instead of FF or Porsches would have brought the crowds to there feet. Bringing Datsuns and Jew burners into the arena could kill this catagory as we know it.[just my two bobs worth] as it was my 40th year that i first went to the mountain.Hi Wayne,
not sure what you mean by that comment...
What I can say though is that the parade lap was always "proposed" and that was how it was in all of the correspondence from Todd. It was never a given that it would happen.
cheers
Mick
