I wanted to give a good wrap to a local business I used recently.
I took my headers out initially to get them ceramic coated. I was hesitant on the price, but once you understand they work they do it's not bad value ($280)
While I was there talking to Mark (who was very friendly & helpful), I noticed they also did powder coating.
The tale light surrounds on my LJ were painted semi-gloss black when I got the car, and while I liked the look, the finish was shite, and a lot of the paint had flaked off. I'd always thought about getting them powder coated, so I asked how much - $55! not worth me stuffing around with the inferior finish from a spray can, so I went & took them off the car & dropped them back.
Then over night I got to thinking about my sump, which I had intended to re-paint.... Gave mark a call the next day & asked him about powder coating it? Yep, no worries - $85... then he thought about it, and said "you're getting a few other things done, so I'll do it for $65"!!
Done!
All finished, and back to me within 3 days - looks awesome too!
So if anyone on the coast is looking for Powder coating or Ceramic Coating, I can highly recommend Mark at Pro-Coat http://www.procoat.com.au/

$280 is that for a 6cyl or V8?
My exhaust fella uses a guy in brisbane and is chargine $480 for V8 ceramic coating. If your bloke does them cheaper i might tell him to start sending his work to him instead of brisbane.

The guy that owns it (Mark Sullivan) is also the same sully that built 1BADHK 1BADHQ and a couple other well known street machine feature cars.
