slowly putting it back together, heater is in, most of the dash is in, spent a few hours mixing and matching the 2 gauge clusters so i could have the clock and temp gauge, while keeping the idiot light for the temp as well, ill just have to run an extra wire for the sender, starting to get there.

Nice Danny good to see you have colour on it now , keep it going
Posted 16 February 2014 - 01:17 PM
Cheers Grant,
rubber kit turned up the other day, so that will give me a few more things to do, hood-lining is ordered so once that turns up ill be able to put front and rear windscreen in.
inner guard's are undercoated so ill put colour on them, then put them in so i can finish the wiring, than it might be drivable aha
Danny

got the rubber kit so ive put door glass in, they go up and down aha, all electrics work, well after about 4 hours they do, motor runs like a charm after a quick turn of the dizzy, starts first hit, no choke or pumping it, just waiting for hood-lining still.
grill turned up great, primed with plastic primer than painted with silver/grey wheel paint, bumper bar came up with some wheel cleaner.
still just slowly putting things back on it
quick video of it running, all i did was walk up to it put terminal on and hit the key, didn't warm it up for the video Sorry about my redneck voice, was annoying dad with it ahaha

Danny

She's drivable, still no fuel tank or brakes but I DROVE IT only went about 4 metres off the hoist but it moves ahaha, 4 speed is in shifter all adjusted up, clutch is good. put the mags on the back, will have to lower the ass as it looks abit like a 4x4 ahah, putting hood-liner in atm. dash is all in. just need a kit for the master cylinder and ill have brakes
Danny

The Machine is coming together Danny,
Hood lining before the front and rear windows go in is good, as the lining goes into the window frames hey. Dave I
Posted 02 March 2014 - 01:39 PM
cheers Dave, can have the front screen in but its a pain pushing it into the metal strip, havent cut it out of the other ute yet either aha, and rear window helps hold liner in.
Danny

hoodlining and rear window is in , hooked the handbrake up so i had some chance of stopping it, fuel tank is hooked up and has fuel in it .
drove it around the concrete, just couldnt help myself and gave it a squirt with a quick single spinner, handbrake needs adjusting, as mums push mower go a few adjustments to the handle hahaha,

Good as. You must be pumped! It's always motivating when the end is actually in sight.

sure am Mick, just need to keep doing little things to it
well heres some pics, put the seat in so i could see and went for a drive down the driveway and back (80metres), still no brakes, got it up to about 50 in second, loving the hole in the floor with the exhaust noise coming straight up through it got the rear bumberet thingos on to

cheers Potta. it just needs a bigger cam ,
all lights work, got brakes bled after new wheel cylinders and master cylinder, with brakes i got abit more keen with the throttle 40ks in first is really loud with the 3.55 diff. all in great fun.
took about 2hours to get rear window locking strip in,
got some stik glue crap to put the front screen in
Danny

If you can get an electric seal for the windscreen use that.
Much easier to change when you need a new screen.
Posted 09 March 2014 - 06:07 PM
stuff i got is sikatack drive, got it from obriens.
well, i cut the screen out of the spare ute with no problems, cleaned it so its ready to go in, go to move it out of the road to put the ute in and the F$^%%&%ING thing cracks straight down the middle, there goes a perfect windscreen down the drain.
atleast i kinda controlled myself and didnt take all the anger out on the ute when i drove it back in ahahah
