We have our All Torana Day in SA every two years. Just so happens it'll be the year Toranafest isn't on. The next one is 2014

If that was true we would still be watching black and white tv whilst listening to vinyl records.

AND what is wrong with that :shoot: Us older or should I say more mature generation enjoy songs we can sing along with, can understand the words and don't end up with a head ache from the doof doofs

Rap Crap is exactly that :stirpot:

If you can't appreciate ALL music, you are not as ''mature' as you may think.

Cheers :)

I do appreciate all music, can listen to country, ballads, rock, blues, a bit of jazz and even classic symphony but never rap crap.

The music played at Toranafest comes from the music of the era of the Torana which just happens to be 1969-80 and for me that sets the mood on the day.

You could sit in your car and play your favourite style of music or walk around with a portable music machine Ipod MP3 thingy.

The music at toranafest may come from that specific era but it is basicly soft rock and thats about it. (from when i've been anyways) I think it should be more variety, keep the era thing sure but expand the playlist some more.

As for rap music, it isn't music. Music has a meaning and is about something, rap music is about killing bitches and smoking drugs. :stirpot:
Techno isn't music either :stirpot:

This might explain it:

torana
Web definitions
A torana is a type of gateway seen in the Hindu and Buddhist architecture of the Indian subcontinent..
