There are basically 5 sets of SLR gauges, I decided to go and take some pics of the 3 different sets I have. All are in very good condition so you can get an idea of what they should look like.
first up, LH. There are 3 different types of LH I have seen, the first has miles and KM, the second is as pictured, and the 3rd has 7 digits in the odometer while this one has 6
The next is the early LX SLR type
Late LX type. These appeared in around mid 77 and have the park brake in the bottom of the speedo as you can see.

They both light up, but only one is for the parking brake. The other one is for brake fail & is connected to the brake pressure differential switch.Do both park brake lights light up in the latter 77 dash's?
s
On these later cars they are separate circuits.

I'd really love to see a light woodgrain SLR ashtray.
Will dark woodgrain do?

Agreed ^^^.I'd really love to see a light woodgrain SLR ashtray. If someone can produce a picture of a genuine Holden one, not a made up or photoshopped one I'd really like to see it.

Mine's identical. I think I better shrinkwrap it and put it in a cupboard.

1k is pretty cheap for that lot considering it has the SLR cluster. Not to mention the most expensive SLR ashtray which is the black one.
what would you sell it for?
mine's identical in every regard. white needle gauge cluster, about the same amount of wear (some of the silver outlining hasn't lasted the decades THAT well) black legit SLR ashtray, only difference is the radio hole is for a normal size head unit :(

Correct (for LH).The 253 SL/Rs had the dark grain dash, The 308 cars had the black grain. Correct?
Just to clarify that.
S = Black grained dash
SL = Dark timber tone dash
SL/R (6 & 4.2) = Dark timber tone dash
SL/R 5000 (Incl. L34) = Black grained dash (same as S)
