Gday all
I picked up a couple of Banjo axles at the Bendigo swapmeet last weekend, the guy wasn't quite sure what they were from.

They look a bit long for my LC so I am wondering if they are early Holden (EJ - HD) or maybe LH/X/UC Torana.

Does anyone know the lengths of the axles?

thanks

Steve

Ball or taper needle roller bearings? What spline?

They are course spline (10) I checked that before I brought them. Not sure what you mean by the ball or taper roller bearings? I will measure them, take a picture and upload when I get home tonight.

Early stuff up to HG and LJ had ball bearings as the axle bearing and the whole bearing came out with the axle. Later were tapered needle rollers - the outer race was captive in the diff housing.

I've measured the axles. They are ~750mm from the end of the splines back to the end of the hub. Heres some pictures.

Looks like it has 78077 or something on the end of the hub. Maybe they are LX axles?

Axle flange to spline end= 665mm
Outer edge of bearing to spline end=608mm
This is for coarse spline LJ axle.
EH is 698mm
640mm
UC is 710mm.
The axle's that you have maybe HK HT HG, I don't have one to measure but at 750mm it is a lot longer than an LC LJ.

They have to be HK-HG given Warrenm's data.
