Howdy,
Just had a call from a member who had an attempted theft on his hotwires whilst the car was parked at Browns Plains Shopping Centre. Fortunately the wheels were not removed but several wheel nuts were. The owner didnt notice and it wasnt until he heard a "clunk clunk" when going around a corner the he realised something wasnt right. He ended up shearing several studs and did damage to his brakes as well. Could have been a lot worse.
So beware if you are out that way as it looks like hotwires are on someones shopping list.
Cheers,
T

What absolute pricks. That guy could have headed up the highway and been killed, or even worse he could have killed himself and an innocent person or family in an accident. People who get caught doing something like that should be charged with more than just attempted theft. Its conduct endangering life. pricks.

We had someone loosed 6 of 8 wheel nuts on two wheels years ago, all on my old mans Bronco (85 model)
They werent trying to steal the wheels, just think they had it in for him for some reason. about a month later, someone left a dead cat under his front wheel, left for work, mum had to call him back to bury it (ran over the thing, wasn't pretty) theres no way a live cat would have stayed there (car was too loud)
ended up finding the owners up the road, poor thing was only 5 years old, had been missing for a couple days.
Thats the last real weird thing that happened though, so never bothered looking into it anymore
