Very fortunate no serious injuries, but you'd be pretty sore after copping an impact like that. Terrible to see someones pride and joy destroyed by another persons carelessness.

ahaha, and here was someone trying to tell me it was a family event and no drunken idiots go any more. Glad I stopped going years ago.

Thats why i rekon big 4WD's are dangerous on the road! makes me sick when i see some wanker driving around in a huge shiny 4WD that you just know will never see the dirt.

P.s sorry if i offended you 4WD drivers! but its just my opinion.

At the risk of it turning into a shitfight it has to be said, it's not the vehicle it's the idiot attached to the steering wheel.

Appologies, but it's my opinion.

Back to the regular program.

I saw these photos on Facebook, such a shame, it really was a beautiful car.

I agree with what others have said, cars and alcohol shouldn't mix, but with all the negativity surrounding Summernats this year, they might have no choice but to look at what they're doing

SAme thing happens every year. Every five years or so it really spikes so they clamp down on it, then it gradually gets worse each year till the big spike again, were at the spike...Five years time it will be the same.

Would be about five years ago that Steve Lerentveld had a full open can of beer thrown into the back seat of his RDP08 torana with his wife and kids sitting in the back seat, then a croud of other wankers come out and try to pick the back of the car up by the guards so he would do a skid yes? Along with heaps of other shit going down. That was the year a lot of top car owners said they would not attend again if something wasnt done.....Big circle.

Untill its a dry event i refuse to go, as i've already said.

All this talk about drink & driving.
Was the driver of the 4WD drunk?
Did the Police charge the driver of the 4WD with DUI?
Did the occupants of the 4WD actually attend Summernats?
Maybe the driver of the 4WD was just another retard talking or texting on their mobile phone whilst driving?
Hopefully the Police charged this idiot with everything they can think of.

The topic has changed slightly. Its not about the 4wd driver drinking, its drinking being allowed in the actual event.

I feel for the guy who owns this Walky especially after having his earlier street car stolen. I hope everyone did get out ok because if passengers would have been in that back seat no doubt there would have been a fatality or 2. It does look like it's happened on the way home from the Nats on a country road somewhere.

You mention pubs and clubs which have the same thing which is alcohol. Alcohol fueled violence will ruin this event. Go to the pub to drink. Go to a car event for the cars. Dont mix them
