I really agree with this, i used to do skids all the time, in my driveway, roads, carparks, everywhere and i have to say that i (in my own opinion at least) am quite good at them. One day though i was power sliding around a corner on a public road and everything was going fine until my back wheels hit a patch of grippier tarmac and just griped up and shot me foward, i managed to recover it without spinning but not before going onto the other side of the road. I just pulled over and thought about what would have happened if there had been a cyclist or another car there and i had killed somebody. I promised myself that day that i would never do anything like that around the public ever again. It doesn't matter how good you think you are, things can go wrong and i consider myself lucky that i realised this before it was too late and something happened. Just my 2 cents.
