Cheers John .... It's Catho Pub at Catherine Hill Bay, its a great pub, it can look a bit intimadating at times(30-40 Harleys always out front) but has a real friendly feel, heaps of families and sydney tourists.. There's Live Bands every Saturday & Sunday arvo's. lots of stuff that goes on there is risky at best with Dirt bikes and Road bikes doing wheel stands past the pub, and you can see how slippery the road is out the front........

So the next Toranafest is going to be held at this pub??? :driving:

This may seem a bit hypocritical coming from a regular Summernats attendant & entrant, but i partially agree with Skap & Ice. I haven't been all that fussed about going in recent years, alcohol & testosterone charged young males wandering around in large groups crying out for tits & rubber isn't my scene. In saying that, i'm no angel, but i do make it a point to avoid these groups & the areas they congegrate, whether i'm on foot or in my car. I attend this event as it has become something of a ritual for me & for several other reasons. I love being around tough cars, i enjoy the social atmosphere of catching up with family & friends & i love to display my workmanship & checking out other's workmanship. In saying all this, i will most likely attend next years Summernats, but having attended the last three Toranafests in Newcastle, i much prefer this event as a whole. Can do all the things i do at Summernats, but the atmosphere is much more family friendly & layed back. Plus i know because there are no large groups of shirtless males cruising around looking for action, my family & my cars are safer.

Do you lot need to be reminded about personal attacks?

Apparently you lot are grown men so how about acting like it instead of this childish shit stirring!

if you dont like the summernats, dont go.

i like the nats and i go every year, for pretty much the same reasons as matt.there is no way i hell i'd drive my car around after lunch time on saturday.but i accept that as part of the event.i do like to watch some of the shenanigans on saturday arvo, but i'm not a participatent.

i belive in natural selection,if dickheads want to kill themselves let them go for it

My My. Things have changed. I have made the trip to OZ once in 2004 to what was the ultimate show in the Aussie car Scene, the Summernats. It did not disappoint The level of cars on display in the halls was awesome. In fact there were more classic cars in the car park than I have ever seen in a Kiwi show.
There was the burnouts and Go to Whoa if you wanted to watch that, or just cruise around the displays, I was in car junkie heaven. I didn't see really any burnouts by people doing laps and generally not really any bad behaviour. So my point is it must have really gone down hill judging by the comments on here.....................and that's a real pity.
