I have a LC Torana GTR 1971 in Monaco Maroon have not seen any others in this colour.
Unusual colour as it is 8/1971 and the colour appears to be available from 1966-1970 by the Dulux GMH Colour Range.
Has any other cars GTR's been spotted in this colour

paint code 11206 for acrylic and 2f008 for 2pack, its pretty rare but i do remember seeing one for sale on ebay a few years back now, mabe this is that car???
pics please.

you all must remember once a paint was made it then could be used or ordered for there cars
like i have a mate that lives here and works on the cancel that has a 73 lj gtr in the color of the 1965 egmont maroon met 06818 he as all books and service history with the car, but its not painted in its original color, and there was no 2pack shade number for this color at the time.

Hi Gavwell. I have an LJ SL sedan sprayed original egmont maroon with plate stamped 6818 colour code. Turns out exported Torana could be sprayed any colour requested by purchaser. Car never made export in the end and was sold in NSW. It's been in my family since day one. Recently resprayed same colour and gets interest everywhere I go. It's not a GTR but it goes like one.

My brother bought this LC GTR new from Ken Sams motor early 1970, he thought the colour was called maroon marone but it probably is monarco maroon

He took it on holidays to lightning ridge months after buying it and a big red roo ploughed into the drivers door, bounced off and kept going. Car received a bruised guard, door and bent mirror.

He loved that car right up until he traded it in
