That looks surprisingly good.
But your scoop is in the wrong spot, should be offset to the passenger side to actually feed the carb/s
Posted 06 June 2014 - 02:14 PM
We used to call them Lakesides and thought they were pretty cool when I was about 12.
Pretty sure they're illegal on anything but rods and Vettes, otherwise you would still see them around.
Holden 6's with dual exhaust sound like a gay man farting.

Great Words DJ,
Carbs will be Feed well in any case.
and Mark,
Farting is your Job,
Blowing your doors off, is the RAT's Job.
Edit:-
watch out for the Darkies

Yawn...
The rate you're going you might be better to build a Rat-style Mobility Scooter instead.
Posted 07 June 2014 - 12:21 AM
Chuck up a link to your build Mark?
Posted 07 June 2014 - 12:49 AM
Mine's almost finished. It has been delayed a little as I had to come down to Sydney. Hopefully rego in July then some pics. I have many already of the build as it progressed.
Basically now it is just paint and reassembly.
But I'm not the one on Shoutbox talking big every night about my 'plans'.

Thats good to hear.
Hows about a build thread so we can see what you've got and where its at?

Thank-you Daz for your kind words,
That's the Plan, and most of my Topics are the Research from my Experiences,
and also from this Great Forum of Members and their Thoughts and Experiences.
All these are part of the Big Picture,
So when the Body work Starts,
I will start a Build Thread, and all the relevant Topic Threads will be Linked.
RAT's are WILD.
I'm looking forward to seeing what you do Dave I. Looks like lots of thought has gone into it and its something different which is great to see. Keep us updated!
Troy, has done these additions so they fit and look apart.
This 69 Model LC 4 Door has the rear doors closed in, and the rear window is made longer too look like a 2 door window.
I have even thought now, to make it a Left Hand Drive while I am at it, as they have been done before for Export.
This RAT will have all the Goodies, from the Motor through to bullet holes, fake rust and Registration.
if there is no way to have the side pipes, I will then have them painted there to look real.
The Sill Mufflers are where the sill was ( sill's removed ), which keeps the ground to body clearances correct,
and the rear bottom of the front guards are cut back and mounted where the top of the sill position is, so the Exhaust can be in place as pictured. Dave I

Sills are structural you will need to have them or get engineers advice on what you will need to do to compensate
Crikie, Thank's,
I did think of having a con-caved Sills and then the Sill Mufflers.

Great Man Dave,
Now while we are on the subject of Con-caved Sills, the area there is about 100mm high x 130mm deep.
I will draw up the area and use sliced 125mm diameter x 3mm thick Tube/pipe that would give clearance to the Muffler Gauze.
Have now thought about the Heat transfer too,
I wonder what the Corvette's do in that department.
