If the rear doors are welded up and the rear windows are unopenable, then you might be lucky.....

Were the factory Big Block Cobras fitted with side pipes ?
If so then that picture means jack shit.

Rods ain't cars when it comes to legalities. Mount the Torana on a pre 48 chassis if you want the DoT to cut you a little slack. And Cobras and Corvettes could be irrelevant also due to factory fitment.
Show me a retro style Aussie car with full rego and functioning sidepipes and I might believe you.
I have read they are illegal. If they aren't there's bound to be a street legal panel van on a van forum with them.
ps. I'd be very surprised if the ones on the blue Cobra are functional. You would burn the frOck out of your calves exiting the vehicle.

I believe the last opening also includes the boot in the eye of most engineers.

70's and 80's don't count. They've cracked down a lot since then.
And pipes running down the sills takes it into a whole different category than just side exiting exhausts.

Great Pictures added to the cause Everybody,
the RAT is not a Rod, but will be Roddy.

And all of the above cars look liek they would be about 200mm past the last cabin opening, bar the vette, and thats just a factory option.
Cheers.

there is rules about side pipes, they cant be directed at other vehicles or pedestrians faces, and you cant touch the pipe so youd have to have a shield or use the actually side pipe as the shield and have another pipe on the inside of it
