Was a good day in the booth.
This paint flows really well and has given me confidence for the top coats.
And heres a quick vid of the process, unfortunately I didn't have tha camera far enough back so you could see my paint mixing skills. Ha Ha

Far out mate I'd be tempted to clear coat it and start putting it back together.
Then again, Tangerine is gonna look fantastic.
When do you reckon we'll see that?
No pressure just asking cause I'm sure you'll have to do some more rubbing back etc before you go for the top coat.

Gotta start wet rubbing soon, sorry to say Gene, but white is such a boring shade - it sure aint a colour.
Thanks Blair, how's the new house, shed and wife going? Sure missing that beef jerky....mmmmmmmmm

Attempted my fist session of wet sanding the acrylic top coat white. Finding it harder than dry sanding, messier and harder to see what's happening until wiped down and dry. I was advised to use a hard rubber block but don't like using it on the curves, much prefere the flexible foam block. Hope that's ok?
This could take a bit of time before ready for Tangerine.
Also not happy with the line above the passenger flutes. Thinking it needs a bit more hi fill and sanding.

I would say you are doing the right thing, not using the hard block as it would undo all your coats of paint on the edges hey. Dave I

Wet rubbing the bonnet after guide coating.
Mixed the two tins together before pouring them back into their tins.
Unsure whether to clear the paint or not. Wasn't going to use clear but can't seem to get the gloss levels I had on the white undercoat.

Don't worry about the lack of gloss of the gun, it'll turn up when you wet sand it & buff it.
