Hi Graham, here's the paint code. Took a bit of mucking about because I wanted 2k but not glossy. Don't use this colour as correct gmh colour. I just gave them a red oxide sample which they matched.
I got a 100ml for $18. Enough for my two gearbox casings.

Looks the goods Marty! The quality of your build is a testament to what can be achieved through careful planning, execution and attention to detail.
Just don't be scared to rack up the miles once it hits the road. Did you get a chance to drive the car when you first got it? or will this be the first time you have driven one in a few years?
Sure you will have a smile from ear to ear! Looking forward to the start up Video.

Hi Rob,
Cheers Bud, The most I drove this car was up the drive, so about 15 metres, it really struggled to go forward cause the front drums were binding. Before that the last Torrie I drove was 20 years ago. Keen to do the miles, not just in the rain......yet.
Marty
You need an exzorst
I first read that as exorcist, but yes, I should put the exhaust pipe on now. Cheers

Also don't forget the reverse switch, they are difficult to get in once the gearbox is bolted up, I'm still trying to work out the best way to do it lol.

Thanks Craig. Switch is on it's way but I can't wait. Engine must go in.
I was going to wait for a hand from a mate but he was busy so had a go myself.
Double stacked and wired together.
Some counter balance in the boot.
Lift the front and fit axle stands to chassi.
Moving out.
Under she goes.
Engine is on the piss. Front points toward passenger side. I think I've used big Torana engine mounts. I have another set that look smaller. Could this be the case?
Or is something else wrong. :-(
Cheers
Marty

LHS engine bracket should be in front of the rubber mount not behind as you have in the last pic

Does the engine mount on the passenger side go behind the bracket (to the block)?
Ha Ha - beat me to it :-)

Both engine brackets are behind mount.

nope
Sorry its on its side.
Bloody nice job anyway mate!

Thanks Trevor, yes, looks like I've got the passenger side wrong. This will help but I feel there is a bigger problem, i.e. wrong engine mounts.
Pretty sure these mounts came with the engine which is out of the late model torrie. I'll clean up and paint the other set incase they are what I need.

I know its a bit late now but I found a pic and cropped it so I may as well put it up.
A bit hard to see but the red bracket from the motor is definitely at the front.
It may also help to see if you have the correct mounts or not Marty(although looking at it now probably not lol).
I can get a better pic if it will help

Thought the wrong mount issue was only to do with V8 boys!
Left to right swap maybe?
Im curious to see if the 6cyl mounts are different !
