Hi All

As it seems to be a pretty common problem, I'm hoping someone may be able to give me some advice on getting the rust repaired around the tail light area of my LX Torana.

Are there aftermarket replacement panels available?

Failing that, does anyone know of anyone in Melbourne (I'm in Coburg, Northern Suburbs) that can make up the panels?

Any advice would be much appreciated

Cheers

Tony

Can't believe that Rare Spares or one of the other mobs doing new panels haven't done a batch of these yet. It is a common rust area for all LH and LX toranas.

I have a NOS one but it is not for sale, if i was better with sheet metal i would make some myself. The ones that Paul made in that earlier thread look pretty good and close to the original. Here is some pics of a genuine one.

:) not for sale but I think they could make a killing on these panels for conversions and rust repairs

Why does it have the pressed in sections around the big rectangular cutout? Would be easier to make without those in there and it is not like you see it when the lights are in.

Matt it'll just be for the ease of production. One piece of steel wouldnt stretch enough to stamp that rear panel in one piece without tearing. Well that's my assumption anyway : )
