i take it once the exhaust manifolds are done they wont be leaving the car very often...

by the looks you will have to take the whole front x member down to get the exhaust out :P

Should still look okay when all welded up and linished smooth.

You could weld 4 extra flanges in just before the 4 to 1 collector so you can unbolt and remove each pipe separately - depends how often you think it will be coming apart.

Datto's kit or Hopper's kit sticks out around there. I've been told commodore offset does the trick.

I can see the walkies in the background. Hot stuff.

BTW what are you going to do for traction ?? lol

This is what the walkies look like. Iv been running quater inch spacers for years but in this case ill need another quater making half inch and i dont like the idea of half inch, so ill have to go commo or something.

Ok, so what does it take to wack on commodore discs on the front? I already have HQ stubs and HX alloy calipers. Whats the cost?
I dont want to fork out too much if its only commo discs i need that would be ok, reason i dont want to fork out too much is that i will upgrade to wilwood or other when cash allows later.

Hoppers kit is $1200 and pushes it out 10mm But I think Dattoman (Neil) might do a kit closer to 1k??

thats the thing i dont really want the kit for as good as they are, if i can get away with just commo discs i would be happy with that for now.
I can get VB/VL disc for around $60 and that would be sweet for now.

Just needed to ask what are you going to do about heat build up and how close to the tyres is the manifold going to be

Good question.
Firstly the tyres wont be too close untill i steer and the car leans over (compressing the suspension bringing the wheel up closer to the manifold) and i wont be constanly steering.
Some airflow as the car is moving will reduce the heat somewhat and some thermal rap or ceramic coating should be enough to keep the heat under control.
The clearance is approx half inch from the manifold lock to lock.

Back to work on the tank again today as I ran out of normal radius bends for the other manifold.
Basically I cut out an inspection lid drilled and taped the mounting holes and used stainless Allen key head screws. This is to allow me to stuff foam into the tank.
Also a fuel sender lid.
