The VH41 should definitly go better and use less fuel than a 308, personally i would go for a VH45, its a bit more torquier, twin turbos and your off lol.I've got a deal for you, ill paint you car if you put one of thoes engines in my monaro . Im sure the monaro engine bay will be soooo much easyer to work with too .
Mate i would if i could but i got another project to do after the LJ is engineered and regoed, its a 1963 Pontiac Lauentian, im trying to keep it hush hush so my wife dosnt find out

Im keen on doing my exhaust my self; I have all the mandrel bends and straight pipe in 3 mild steel.
It will be a twin exhaust since its a twin turbo V8, but should it have a cross pipe or should it be two separate pipes?
Also, what catalytic converters and mufflers do you recommend

These cats are the one all the Corvette guys go for.

I would too if i was interrested in running cats - we seem to get away with it here in Qld on the older cars.
I would run a siamesed X pipe if I were you even with the turbo setup.
I just had to edit about 10 typos out of that - had a few beers this arvo )

Hey guys i havnt been able to post on my PC at home as im using my dodgy laptop (Desk top crashed)
But yeah the Torana is alive and well, the motor is running well, the custom clutch is grabing well, the custom fuel tank/pump and lines are good, the brakes are ok i think it just needs bleeding but will have to make sure on that.
Its bloody loud without turbos and exhaust, its straight out the manifolds, so its sound like a top fueler lol
Had an oil pressure issue befor it started so we just pumped oil into the oil filter and lines, pressurised the sump with a bit of air (approx 5psi dont want to blow the seals) and oil pressure was all good.
I will have to post a short movie on it soon

As an aside, any ideas on how you going to stiffen the chassis up...i have heard some conflicting reports on the crs kit, also a rollcage dont think will do as much when you look where the mounting points are...any ideas?

Ive got two on my LJ, and seeing weekend duties they are 4 years old and going strong. so longevity is no issue.
They are also Australian made and owned, so thats a bonus.
