Looks sweet, how much is actually open between the pipes on the crosspipe? Ive been told to do it similar to that but only have a hole about the size of a 20c coin open between them?

It'll look sweet all cleaned up and painted matt black

oh and real nice work dude, most of the pics wouldnt come up on my comp until later in the piece... the only thing that jumped out at me was your engine mounts, we did a 1ufze lexus quad cam v8 conversion into an e36 bmw using ford rear leaf spring bushes in pipe as mounts(we use this method quite a bit as it looks neat and professional) but as we have found out over time the bush moves in the pipe and rubs on the plates... we rectified this by drilling and tapping the outer anf fitting a grub screw... seems to have worked thus far... keep up the good work dude

Thanks micko, the idea for the engine mounts sounds like a good idea. I will see if this is needed in the future, i have only driven the car up the street a few times so if the moounts were a problem (hope not) i should find out over time. Fingers crossed they are ok.
Thanks again. :spoton:

Exhaust painted and its in the car now, the pipes moved a bit from the welding so it may need a bit of heat from the oxy and a bit of a bend but over all it fit ok. Havnt bolted the cats and front pipes yet.

Left side looks spot on. Well done (though that was probably the easiest shit for you considering the rest of the stuff done to this car hehe)

Hey thanks guys
I just removed my oil filter housing and replaced it with one of those remote oil filter housing. The only thng im worried about is the remote housing has no spring loaded ball valve as the orignal. Will this effect oil pressure?
Sorry i should have put this in the engine section

No worries mate
Its great how we can all get inspiration from each other here
Well today was very frustrating, booked in my car for a wheel alignment and pressure bleed the brakes, show up today and the bloke says he dosnt have the usual guy that does it as he works on weekdays. Not happy  So he said come in on Monday, I may not.

Ahh bit of a pain in the arse! I hate being let down by workshops all the time... Worst thing I hate is when they promise you it will be ready on xxx date/time (and they know there going to struggle to meet the deadline) then you go to pick it up and its not ready...

Id prefer them to choose a time/date that they know they can comfortably have it ready by and they not rush...

How about when they weld you a sump which is first way over sized (and giving them a template to work off) only to find it has a slow leak at the end
But it does fit now lol but still has a slow leak, oh well i will think of it as a dirty 202 :<_<:

Thanks mate
I wish I could have spent more time with all the modifications, just didnt have the time needed.
But its all going ok, with the acception of an oil leak comming from my custom sump.
Later there will be another phase in the project and that will be to get the body dead straight and a nice paint job but that will be couple years off.
Next thing to do now is get engineer and rego. But i need to get the tacho going first :<_<: i have a post on this in Electrical
