Looking good mate
You dont see too many people going to the extent and doing the job right.
Wish i had a little more knowledge with steel.
Keep up the good work and pic's and you go along.

Yeah sorry mate i missed your post, iv been around and have had a quick look at whats happeneing here, unfortunatly i havnt been as active on the forum as i would like.
Hmmm updates arnt as huge as i would like, iv had my unit reovations taking up a shit load of my time and trying to work in the Tori at the same time. Then theres my missus but ill leave that one alone. She dosnt approve of all the time on my little Tori. Shame shame. :tease:

Also what you cant see is i sprayed SW2 Protective oil from PPC (POR15 supplier) it sprays on like an oil, it smells like oil actually, its described like fish oil witout the smell and it drys clear satin like paint, it can be painted over with POR15.
I pumped this stuff in the sills untill it driped out to be sure it spread out in every plug weld.
Also did the rest of the car pillars. Front back middle pillars :spoton:

And if youve got a VH41 under the bonnet, that's understandeable! Just quickly, why did you put the holes for the 6x9's so far forward?

Bit more car porn lol
Just another trial fit to see roughly how it will come together.
Got to cut some sections out of the firewall to get the engine back approx another inch or so, also cut some sections out of the chassis rails.
Will make new engine mounts soon.

Na it not a hemi, its a Nissan V8 4.1ltr
The diff is BW, it was strong enough fot the VL turbo engine so it should be okish for the V8 turbo.

Ok this is the type of engine mount i have settled for.
I bought the components from Rod Andrews Race Cars in Seven Hills Sydney. 98380032
He was very helpful with the questions i asked on the engine mounts and even took the time to draw a small diagram.
Dont you just love it when profesionals help you out.
Anyway enough of my chit chat.
My Webpage
It cosists of a Ford rear suspension bush and 5mm steel plate as what he sold to me today, machined steel body for the bush to go in, the steel body is welded onto fabricated brackets.
This pic is of a ute which had a Lexas V8. Nice ay. check out the coil overs.
