I cannot believe the work you have put into it already.
I would be more worried about cutting the chassis than cutting the firewall.
As long as you fill the gaps I cannot see any issues. Allot of rodders move or make the firewall straight.

I think the main thing is that it's a solid wall with no excess holes incase of engine bay fire!
Great stuff man

The only thing that concerns me is if the engineerwill approve it, he's at the moment holidaying OS lol.
RIM-010, its ok the engines look similar in that position.

just a thought, if you wanted to be a little sneeky. What you could do is cut out the 2 humps in the firewall and reverse them to opposite sides so they now bulge inwards to the cabin instead of outwards. You would be surprised how many people won't notice the difference.Whereas if you go to a fabbed flat firewall everyone will notice it(cops/engineers) etc....
Cheers Greg..

Steve Janda is the engineer im with, he seems pretty cool and helpfulHey Bart, was the name of that engineer Sanjay something, from knox? I have been trying some engineers lately, the only guys that seemed half interested in my project was that Sanjay and a guy from Eltham, Bill Malkoutzis (Talk Torque Automotive, 48 Hillcrest rd, 94392334). Maybe give him a try if you want. Seemed like a nice guy, pretty helpfull!
Sorry i havnt been around guys i just got married lol and just moved house/unit, just got connected yesterday.
Ill have more photos of the firewall mod etc.

John is ok, id say is one of the more strict engineers but that is a good thing as he will point out what is wrong if anything. On the topic of engineers, theres a nice handy link from Street Machine website, listing accredited engineers 'round Aus:
