Only the red unrestored LH which runs out of rego, or the silver SL/R which needs plenty of work to get back on the road. My missus will be there in the Orchid LH, but she will be going up to Newcastle on Friday, I have to work, so if I go up (entrant or spectator) it'll be Saturday sometime.

That's what I meant by my post, if you enter but your car doesn't make it, you still get the goodie bag & it is the only car show that I know of where you'll see 300+ Toranas of every model etc all parked together.

Hi guys just a bit of an update
Just a reminder of what Toranafest is about.
It is not about any individual, Club or Forum member . It is about All Torana enthusiasts getting together to support a worthwile cause.
No matter what type or condition of Torana you have, your beloved Torana is welcome.
On a sadder note I have just been informed that Brian Sampson is unable to attend. He is about to undertake a huge challenge regarding his health, and whilst we are all initially dissapointed I am sure we all wish Brian the best in his future challenge.
I have just been advised that Ronald McDonald will make an apperance this year. At this stage Ronald will be on site between 11 and 1 PM.
If you guys want a group forum photograph for 2013 how does 11:30 sound? We may even get Ronald in the photo!
Would be great if someone from the forum could organise this. Any volunteers?
I will also be in contact with Motto Farm this week Talking to Paul there are around 10-12 spots left for the dinner.
The Nowacki Book will be on sale at the VIP signing area. the book is $20 with $1 from each book sold going to RMH.
Regards
Pete Morris

Fully Loaded and almost ready to go, BUGGA might leave the SS at home and pack all of the stuff into a TRUCK
Only got to put Gary in the passenger seat and his bag some where and me in the driver's seat and my bag some where
AND I didn't forget to load in a box for Geno, a Demon Carby for Joey, something for P, some crockery a lady left at our swap meet and will get it on Friday at Goulburn and I did remember to fit in something special for Sunday.
AND for ol' baldy El-Presidente a box of scones my missus was asked to make after he chatted her up last night. AND something extra I found for the annoying one
Please add a brown nose to his features.
AND a big pressie for a little one who know doubt will be HOLDEN TORANA indoctrinated by his proud dad
Might be able to squeeeeeeze a tiny bit more in as I forgot that the cameras and my stash of nibblies have to fit close to me
Mmmmm, tight as a fishes bum but I might be able to make it fit

Just wondering , I am wanting to come up and be an on the day entrant, am I too late?? . Do I need to fill out an entry form?? do I need to pre-pay or can I pay cash on the day?? . I cannot download the pic that Mick put in this post "
Toranafest Update:
As at the 23rd Aug, we have 272 Entrants! That is an new record and we are still 3 weeks away! 300 plus cars is definitely on the cards this year!
Pre-entries have now closed! We will still accept Entry forms but they are classed as "Enter on the Day"
Here is the new form;
Thanks Rob.

Question for the Newcastle crew...Is there a bus that runs between the airport and the show and shine location?
Probably flying down Sunday morning for a look.
The show is a stone throw from the main beach at Newcastle, Nobby's beach, you can almost see it from the train station in Newcastle.
I'm not local so don't know where the air port is exactly but sure it would not be far.
If you get to Newcastle you are already there.

Question for the Newcastle crew...Is there a bus that runs between the airport and the show and shine location?
Probably flying down Sunday morning for a look.
After being quoted $40 one-way for an airport transfer, and seeing taxi’s in the range of $60 to the city centre, I decided to try the Hunter Valley buses that run from Newcastle Airport into the centre of town. An excellent idea as it turned out, with one-way travel only $4.50.
The buses stop at the “Public Buses” area of the airport – when you walk out the doors, turn left and walk down the covered footpath. The “Public Buses” marker is basically at the far end. There are two bus companies that stop here – one has a timetable on the back wall near the seats and the second it affixed to a pole by the road. Tickets are purchased from the driver, who was very helpful to tourists, even pointing out a connecting bus for one traveller. The buses generally stop only when someone hits the button, so if you are not sure ask the driver to let you know.
The return journey was just as smooth, although the bus stop does not have any marking, so you’ll only know you are in the right place when the bus turns up. Having said that, the locations are described in good detail on the website, so make sure you pay close attention to the bus stop location. For the record, I got caught the bus back to the Airport from Hunter Street in Newcastle, where the stop is outside the Spotlight/Anaconda store (it was the only bus stop nearby). Just know your bus number and signal as you would any other bus.
The buses run around every hour, and it took around 30 minutes to get from the airport to town. An excellent way to save some dollars in Newcastle (compare $9 to $80 or ~$120 return!). And with free Wifi throughout Newcastle Airport, it doesn’t really matter if you have to wait a little longer for the bus
