What about insurance Jeff?

About $280 a year for full coverage...not too bad since it is not my primary vehicle. (but I can still use it when ever, as much as I want)

My truck rego is due next month as well...it is a bit more though, around $270? or so I think (have to double check) since it is a newish vehicle, and being a truck it has a weight fee (yet another government scam) as well.

Finished installing the dynamat, underlay and carpet...went it without too much hassle.  Then installed the seats.

Picked up the glass from the tinters and assembled the doors, bailey rubbers, door belts all from Betta rubbers. All a pretty good fit. Needed to trim the belts as the front door ones were too long.

Got some stickers to go on the centre caps of the wheels to break it up a bit.  Looks much better.

Installed the rear window and backed it out of the shed for a few photos while the sun was out.

Getting closer.  Did a little accidental skid when backing it out too   :)   :driving:

Thanks.

Looking good there mate. Making some real progress on it now. How were the front door windows to put in? I have to change one of mine soon as the drivers window needs adjustment and has a 30cm square section that scratched severely.

Such a great looking car - I've been enjoying watching this one. Great speed too. Have you thought about the battery in the boot or a box for it, though? That yellow and blue thing looks a bit out of place in that smick engine bay for me. Whatever, it looks great, you've done a tops job.

The front windows are piss easy Wayne. It's the rears which are a prick.

Yeah I love the colour too. It really pops when out in the sun. So much better than in the shed!

The blue and yellow battery does look a bit poxy, totally agree. I guess I could sort a box or something out because I am not keen for the battery to be in the boot.  Dunno.  It's not meant to be a fancy engine bay. I just wanted to clean it up and make it look neat. lol

Thanks for the nice words too :)

I know what you mean about not being a fancy engine bay, but in all honesty, it looks it! Might pay to think about battery relocation.

What is the colour anyway (sorry if you've mentioned it)

Cheers

Alto grey.

Late model Holdens (commo's, cruze and others) colour. I've no idea why but it looks way better on my car than the peely factory paint jobs I've looked at since it was painted.

A few weeks yet Grant. Got a few other things on the go and some other little jobs to knock off first.

I'm aiming for middle of Nov to be ready to start jumping the hurdles to get it rego'd. We'll have to tee up a run

Throw me in there Daz if I'm off. Maybe I can meet you somewhere and we could all go for a run. Hows your progress coming along Grant?

You would have to check the ADR numbers listed on the ID plate, I wouldn't think so.

Any updates? It's been a couple weeks!! You should be skating up the street by now!!! ;)

Yeah Grant you would think he would have to be very close. Maybe that's why he hasn't updated because he's stuck in the shed.

Haha, LOL.

It's booked in for windscreen next week and the exhaust a week after....then it should be ready to get a permit and do some test drives to iron out the bugs.  Not far away now lads :)

I don't think I'll make the mid November cruise though :(
