Cheers Bomber.
I stripped the car on the 8th and 9th of Jan 2013 so the total build was just short of a year.

Not much been going on lately - except cruising about and clocking up some km's :)

Installed one of those stealth dash aerials and a dash mat to cover it.  For the intent and purpose of the original build the car is finished.

I'm sure other things will change in the future but for now it's just for enjoyment.  Hope to see you cruising about :D

Awesome car.  Just how I like them.  Were you at the Nats this year in it?  Was one like it if you weren't and it was spectactular in the flesh.

Thanks guys.

Nah, not at the Nats this year Gerry.

Clocked up 300km of driving today - went for a run down the peninsula and back.  It was 32 outside here and it ran nice and cool all day.  The fans only come on after extended slow stuff in traffic and only stay on for 15 seconds or so.... happy days.

That's a great result Daz, you must be happy with the outcome. A standard LS1 is standard at 257kw so 221 at the wheels with an auto is brilliant.

Won't be long and we will be back on the Great Ocean Road two up!

Let me know fellas and I will bring out the LC!!

Sounds great, I'm busy for most of Feb, but would love to catch up.

Car looks awsome by the way. It's a credit to you, especially in such a short time with quality. Well done :)

Looking fantastic mate. Keep me posted on that cruise

Hi Heath, here's keeping you posted :)

Cruise is Saturday 22nd March. There is a thread about it in the the Victoria section.

It's going to be over the westgate and down Geelong way (exact details not yet nutted out - feel free to offer up ideas)

If you're in Box Hill I'm pretty close by so if you're up for it we can cruise out that way together...

One thing on the car I was never happy with and to me stood out was the bonnet.  It sat up on the drivers side rear corner and as a driver it annoyed me as it was always in my face.  Anyway, I saw a pic of my car on the road and it looked even worse so decided to get off my arse and adjust it.  Took all of about 10 minutes of slight tweaks and adjustments and I was really happy with it.  Only problem was so as I finished it off, I went for a blast following my mate in his car and gave it a few really good bursts and on the 2nd one the damn bonnet popped open! Scared crap out of me because I was flying when it happened and I thought the thing was going to fly off.  Obviously she twists a little on hard launch!   :3gears:

Anyway, I adjusted the bonnet latch to get a bigger bite and haven't had a problem since....was a funny oh frOck moment though

Did you strengthen your chasis at all?
If its twisting that much I wonder how long your doors will stay in alignment?
