Jeff needs to give the hatch the submarine conversion
This afternoon I got the outside door handles in, dropped the glass off for cleaning and tinting and hooked up the park/neutral and reverse switches. All working perfectly...

Headlining is in. Just need to trim and glue the edges, then put the b-pillar trims in. I was going to put the door tops vinyl on (and I have it here) but they look brilliant in gun metal so I might leave as is for now.
Apparently I'm getting my glass back from being cleaned, polished and tinted on Tuesday so hopefully I can get all that in during the week.

Where I have mine too...worked out well.

Haha, wow. I was kinda forced into it by a combination of piss poor planning and the PSI conversions harness which is designed for LHD cars. Now that it's in and sorted I'm happy with where it is
So after gluing in the head lining, I installed the interior light, sunvisors, rear mirror bracket.

Then I got back into the wiring. To get the PCM to unlock the torque convertor when you put your foot on the brake, one of these brake switches needs to be installed (it is different from the torana switch as it is closed when brakes not applied and open circuit when applied. I mounted it right next to the factory brake switch and it works well.

Next job was headlight, front indicators, horn wiring. I ran it under the guard, installed some nice connectors and tucked all the wiring away. Tested it out and we have lights
Next job was to clean up the under dash wiring and permanently mount the new fuse and relay panel. Made up a bracket and secured it all away. Then I ran all the stereo and amp wiring between the boot and dash/battery. Tucked it all out of sight.
Next job, vacuumed the floor.

Oh, and today I picked up the seats and door cards from the trimmer. Really happy with how they came out - great workmanship. Exactly what I wanted. His work sure is high quality, just a shame it took so long to happen.

So, next is to finish off the Dynamat, put down the underlay, carpet, install the seats, get the console in, install the stereo, install the dash, install the glass, central locking, door trims and then off to get an exhaust....still a way to go but getting closer.
Thanks.

I had planned to put the PCM in that spot early on actually, and since I made the harness, it could have been anywhere, lol. It just seemed like a handy place I suppose? My A/C duct to the console goes over the top of it, but still a fair amount of room around it.
And good stuff on all the wiring coming along too, and getting seats back too!
(I have an optic cable and an AI-net one to run my stereo signal from front to back...along with the power wire, no dramas for me this way at least)

Oh, and by the way...

It might be obvious...but since I learned the pain in the butt way ages ago...don't mount it in too hard a spot to get to, if you ever need to get to a fuse late at night, in the dark..laying on your back. lol (I mounted my add on fuse panel along side the factory one basically)

Hi Grant, the switch came from PSI conversions. What do you mean reverse lockout? What does your switch need to do?
Being that mine is a manual, there is a lock out switch on reverse so you can't acidently select reverse while going for 5th gear.
I want to connect it to the bottom of my clutch pedal, if I press the clutch all the way then you get reverse. Most of the time when shifting gears you only use part of the clutch throw, not the entire pedal. ( hope that makes sense).
So I am looking for a switch that works backwards to the normal brake switch.

$118 for it... (that includes the little bit extra for having the personalized number plates)

Makes Queensland look a bit expensive, close to $1000 a year for an 8 cylinder car!
