We have one here that my dads cousin bought brand new. He had a 6cylinder installed soon after purchasing it, but other than that its all original. Any info would be great! Thanks

No idea mate but if you search google you should find a post or two on here.
I've never seen one in the flesh, and even pictures are thin on the ground.
I don't think many were sold, mainly cause they were a bit sh!t with the 4 cylinder motor.
The concept was similar to the G-Pak where Holden created a specially badged car to try to move some excess parts.
They were limited edition to start with and the impression I've got is that they weren't overly popular so the number sold would be relatively low.
Here's something I prepared earlier

I've have recently found the build quantity for LH Plus4s was 1000 units. I don't have a breakdown for the 3 colours, but you would assume 300+ of each one.

Yep. Dad thought about selling it to help get his '60 Chevy finished and back on the road. The red one on ebay?
Thankfully he found the cash elsewhere and the Plus4 is still safe at home!
We have realised that the 308 from one of our hotrod projects would drop straight in, of course!
Given the Plus4 has the same headlights and other bits as an SLR, also now considering an SLR clone lol.
Can also find some bolt-on SLR5000 wheel arch flares but, once again, don't know if we should mess with such a good condition body, especially as the Plus4 is pretty rare...

Woo! Someone else with a plus-4!
Mine had nearly 4 times the standard motor but it's still a plus-4 nonetheless. Is being rebuilt with pretty much 5 times (572 bbc) the original motor now! All but 1 of the original decals remain and has all the plus-4 paint. Unfortunately missing the seats (car was stolen, bits ripped out and sold off, then recovered) but i might retrim a pair of recaros with the green stripe in the center as per original
Not seen or heard of many others that are still alive and kicking, have seen pics of maybe 4-5 in total i think.

LH SL/Rs didn't get round headlights, The only LHs to get round headlights, other than the 4-cyl cars, were L34s
Also the flares, LH SL/R5000s didn't get flares, it was only the L34.

As I said, I've owned a few Toranas over the years but just the average run of the mill type for transport and a bit of fun.
Lol i don't know if I can use the "F" word on this forum, but I've spent more of my time on little English Fords -105e Anglias, Mk1 and Mk2 Cortinas, Escorts

The Plus4 is safely tucked away for the moment, and we're trying to find where the original wheels may have ended up, just in case they're still floating about, meaning the Plus4 could be fully restored to original if desired...
I'm sure we all appreciate the fun to be had with 6 cylinder and V8 Toranas, and the 4cylinders certainly don't have the best reputation, but to have what appears to be such a rare example in good original unrestored condition is sounding like a different kind of fun to have.
Will keep you all posted
