10/10 from the wizard. i just read the whole forum........and woah! top plans, and i hope you get it done. ur lucky, i've only got a bit under a year to get my torana finished, so i hope it all goes really well for you over the next couple of years. there was a bit of talk about the donk. did you ever consiter working a 6 of its head? tripple carbs, turbo, intercooler, everything balenced blueprinted, no restricion anywhere? could be worth some thaught. and who cares about fuel prices. if you can afford to build it, whats $2 a litre in the scheme of things? these are our babys! gotta feed em! good luck.

I like the plugs, but why didn't you put some paint over that bare metal on the engine bay before it's started.

I know your young, but it would be a shame to see your hard work turn into rust.
Keep as posted with the project.

dont let those buggers get ya down mate. i was 14 when i got my first torana, and when i started the plans were a lot lower than they are now!!! that was four years ago and i never would have dreamed that the car would even reach the speck its at now and im still not done. just dont aim to high in the first build. mine was stock but still very neat when i put her on the road. now im going through it with all the right bits to hopefully see 12's.

i noticed your torana has a cross flow radiator in it, is it standard or refitted from another car?

hey, just red ya thread torana kid, and i've been doing a bit of thinking. Heath keeps talking all that crap about how the pig's wont let you drive you'r torry with a v8 untill you'r like 21 or sumfing...but then again....I'm an apprintice mechanic and so when i go to trade school, there's some pretty hot car's going around. one kid drive's AUII fairmont, with a supercharged v8. he's 19. his twin brother put a injected 5L in a LH torana. another drive's an XF with a hot 351 clevo, and i mean smoking skyline's hot. he's 18. now i know we all pretend to be law obiding citizens, but is it worth putting your 5L in, registering it in you'r folks name, and taking a slap on the wrist if you get caught?? just my two bob's worth.

about whitewizards_uc's post, i think they r driving their 'high-performance' cars because they had them before the new laws came in about P-plates + v8 = no no. so they are allowed to drive them. plus a slap on the wrist, i'd think more like defected or impounded or something but im not sure i dont even have my L-plates.

btw u sure do know what you are doing torana kid, im 15 and all i know is i want an ol' celica TA-23 for my first car :D

 good work there torona kid..:D

glad to see another young kid make the right decision and pick a torana :D....
i think myself and a few other members dont see the uc torana as a great looking car and all have our opinions.... but at the end of the day ur the boss and no 1 has got anything to say at all...... and anywayz i think we all here would rather see a uc torana rolling the streets then a a fully sik ricer or buzzbox! cnt wait to see wen its finally done good luck champ :spoton:

Picked up a rear 1/4 panel from the wreckers last week, i got the whole tub, outside, inside, 1 shock, bit of the parcel shelf, the whole taillight part all for $100, Im in the middle of cutting out the battery tray so i can smooth that whole area off, then ill weld the new 1/4 panel on, get rid of all the other rust, smooth the bay, do the mini tubs, make my new dash, put the new trans tunnel in for the T56, put the diff in then bolt the wheels on :D

Sounds like you're making some progress. What was wrong with the old quarter? Rusty? Bogged up?

Getting lotsa practise with the MIG I hope.
