Is Aqua (the colour) blue or green?
It's half way between blue and green on the colour wheel and going by the primary colours I would say it is blue.

According to Wiki: The word turquoise comes from the French for 'Turkish', as the gem was originally imported from Turkey.

Agree it is neither or both but going by primary colours there is more blue than green (well actually yellow) so I'm calling it blue, or more correctly, Aqua... hmmm.

Its the colour of water and can be both green or blue depending on the refraction of the pigments and the angle of vision that can change depending the amount of lumen's of back-lighting within the scope & size of your field of vision when looking at the colour.
Short-form = It can be Green or Blue.

From wiki:
Aqua is a tone of the color cyan (from Greek: κύανoς (transliterated: kýanos), meaning "blue") which is identical to the color electric cyan, one of the three secondary colors (subtractive primary colors) of the HSV color wheel, along with magenta and yellow. It is precisely halfway between green and blue on the color wheel.

Where is the like button when you need it.
What a great explanation, better than my crap about primary colours and all that.

Who gives a flying?
At least 21 people did.
Wonder who voted green?

Wiki described it as a greenish-blue colour meaning its base colour is blue.
When you type Aqua definition into Google the preview says it's bluish green meaning its base colour is green.
The Free Dictionary describes it as : A light bluish green to light greenish blue

.
Not sure about the colour of water though, in Sydney Harbour it's green and in the Yarra it's brown.s
Bugger forgot all about the banana benders Yara.
That's like the Swan River over here in Gods Country.
Probably has more to do with the fact that like us, the Banana Benders prefer to keep their clock on Real Time so as not to confuse the chickens laying schedule.
People in Mexico and living in Coat Hanger city have been somewhat infested over the years by the emigrating brother/sister taswegian combos and sheep kiwi's whom had the same incestuous blood issues that the kings and queens of England suffered from.
Bugger this Aqua thing gets complex when you dig into it.
