when starting the torana the starter motor wont disengage until I discconect the battery I have only had it on the road about 2 months and started having this problem when it got hot but now its deceided to do it cold. Has any one else had this problem or could anyone help

Sounds like a faulty solenoid.
Buy a new starter motor or get yours recoed. Generally cheaper to buy a new replacement though.
