May be worth a look if you have no plans for Easter Sunday.
It's not just for vans - street machines, utes, hot rods & classics are also welcome

Thanks for rubbing it in Bruce .
I was hoping to get down there but I wasn't able to get the time off work
If it's any consolation Mort, I won't be able to attend the event myself
Instead, I'll be stuck on a cruise ship drinking cocktails while heading fo Airlie Beach, Yorkey's Knob, Port Douglas & Willis Island.

I was hoping to get down there but I wasn't able to get the time off work (pissed right off), I will have to aim for next years Nationals.
If anyone ends up going take lots of pics.

If your going to Yorkeys Knob, it sounds like a fairly large boat then? To big to dock in the inlet. So you will need to jump on board small tenders and be brought into Yorkeys. Then it's a 20min bus ride into Cairns.
Pretty shitty setup all because the greenies don't want the inlet dredged.
We're on the Pacific Dawn Brad & I believe we have to use the tenders at all 3 ports.
Can you recommend any must see attractions up your way apart from Kuranda Skyrail?

Enjoy your cruise Bruce, the wife and I took the kids (4 of) on 2 cruises, the Pacific Sun and Pacific Sky and had a ball.
Thanks Mort, we took our boys on "the Dawn" back in August & had an awesome time. This cruise our boys are staying at home & we're travelling with friends - only 1 more sleep
