Hi guys.
I recently got given a couple of lc/lj bonnets and a few boot lids too.
What I want to do is paint the bonnets up like bonnets of Xu1s that raced at Bathurst and hang them on my shed wall.
I need pics of as many bonnets as possible...I want one to be brocks 72 winner, but I want to do the other in a lesser known scheme.
So post up as many lc and lj Bathurst bonnets as possible.
Thanks....and when I start ill do a.members project thread documenting them too.

Unfortunately most of the bonnets are pretty 'boring', except for 28C... Solid colours with the number or whatever.

The bonnet off of my LJ would be perfect for that green on though, except mine is dented on the left...

A bit of metal and bog work could have one looking like one of my all time favourite Torries, Saggy Sarah...

agree with RIM.......most were very plain.....the Nixdorf computers 1973 Dick Johnson/Bob Forbes XU1 had a bit of character. you could try that one

Great idea, can't wait to see some done.

I was just thinking about this same idea the other day only with different models (Ford/Holden) and year bonnets after seeing a replica bonnet of Craig Lowndes Brock tribute VE Commodore hanging in a forum members shed.

I just gotta get Tracie's car finished first.

Thanks for the responses and positivity.
Keep the pics coming too....I don't mind the Cooke lc bonnet, nice blue.
I remember seeing a pic of a silver lc with ken waggott or similar on the bonnet. Can't find the pic tho.

I don't know what colours this is supposed to be?

Red :) But it's an "S". Not GTR or XU-1

Here is my souvenir LJ bonnet from our 1995 Mobil 1 Round Australia Trial.  Complete with a huge gouge from our 160kmh rollover that destroyed the car.

A bit cluttered these days with memorabilia, but its all mine.

Yep, my co-driver got a slight bruise on his shoulder.  My only wound was my pride.

Hi guys, I'm still chasing a good pic of the.Brock Xu1 bonnet. I need a pic of the actual car, not the model as it seems the.model car had a different font used for the 'torana' word across the front then what the actual car used.
My plans are to get a good image and blow it up using and overhead projector, then trace it to the bonnet and paint it.
Keep em coming.
Cheers

A faithful replica that I could get an overhead pic of if necessary.

Yes, there is a spoiler on there, - the owner uses it for track days I think, and probably wants a bit better front grip when blasting around Phillip Island.

 Easy off.

OK, but this might take a week or so.  My friend is away a lot, and I don't have a key to his collection. (wonder why?)

Do you want a shot from directly over the bonnet, or will an angle shot be ok?

BTW, this will cost ya bigtime !

          regards, Rod. :)

As close to directly over the bonnet as possible will be best.
Thanks
