The injection has been pulled apart by the engine builder and ported, still got a little bit more to go

Heres a picture of the head after porting

manifold cost is similar, but then you have to factor in fuel delivery, wiring, sensors, cpu etc. gets real expensive, real quick.

Have you decided on an achievable compression ratio with the YT head?

What do you mean achievable? I think we could run what ever compression we wanted, just depended on the fuel we were prepared to use

Decided to keep it legal and run pump fuel instead of avgas, comp will most likely be 10.5, any higher and there will start to be slight detonation

Heres the front end assembly to get the 16x7's to fit

2inch drop spindles (so we can still run standard length springs but have a lower ride) and dba gold ford leyland p76 disc (brings wheel-track in 7mm each side) with a custom made spacer to fit the bearing

hydraulic clutch set-up that we used, had it lying around from dads old sprintcar

Brilliant. I can't wait to see this car come together. The attention to detail and quality of components is going to make this an amazing car. Keep up the great work.

If you have a united servo nearby with e85 on the pump, consider running that instead, you can run 13-14:1 on e85 in an n/a motor quite easily, especially as you are running programmable efi!

If you dont want the hassels of setting up a fuel system to run E85 another good alternative for united Pump fuel is P100. Its their 100 octane ethanol blend fuel (5% eth)

If its a new yet alloy head, it will be open chamber, limiting the compression you can run without running into dramas or welding up the combustion chambers

unfortunately no, we live in a rural area, + there are some problems with efi, its harsh on everything and engine builder said even driving it once a week would only just be enough to keep it from eating away at it. He wanted me to run through pump fuel through it to clean it nearly every time too i think, which i don't have the time or patience to do. And when i leave school and g to uni the car will stay here at the house so it wont get started at all unless i get dad to do it..

It wasn't a new head, bought it 2nd hand off a mate

dad tried this in his 11.2 comp 588c.i big block (normally uses bp 98) and didnt think it was as good, maybe just in his head though

Fair enough. There are a lot of myths with e85 btw. I'm considering changing my turbo gem over to it but i'd have to bring the comp up greatly as it's only 7:1 currently.

The engine builder has built many engines on e85, loves it, but only if you have the time to maintain it and keep everything nice.

Theres an extremely quick full carbon fibre wrx hill-climb car here. He recently changed over to e85,.did it all properly fuel system and injector wise, but says its hard to maintain everything
