I'm painting my car at the moment in House of Colour Tangello, it also has a white base coat and only comes in 1liter containers. I have found there are variations in the colour between tins, so I would be carefull respraying the boot without colour matching.

Thought that would be the case, thats why we edged it all out, fitted the panels and painted all in one go. Will make sure its right, cheers.

Update:
One of dads old mates that used to own an lc 20 odd years ago called in to check out the torana. He said he had some gmh taillights, brand new still in the box that he bought when he had the car and theyve sat in the box in clingwrap ever since. Thank you very much!
Just have to paint the silver lines on one of them and they are good to go!

With the money you're spending all round, why not go for a custom tank with built in swirl pot/surge setup. Much cleaner, less dicking about etc
Bought a xu1 fuel tank over 12 months ago and I prefer the look of an external surge tank with all the braided lines and fittings anyway.

Good Man Dave,
is Nylon good for Fuel as well?
Just be aware the regular braided line isnt able to keep the smell of the aromatics in pump fuel from escaping the line, you need teflon lined hose for that. Learnt that one the hard way!

Teflon is the 200 series right? Apparently its a pain to work with..

Alrighty, time to get this car finished. Been sitting in the shed under a cover for months now. Dad and I have been busy with other stuff, but nearly ready to work on it again, just got to finish off a few projects that are occupying space in the workshop and then I'll bring it up.
So far the only things that have changed since last update is:
- door trims are finished
- back seat is finished
- hoodlining is made, but not fitted
- front seats have been repaired (mounts had rusted to the shithouse)
- 1 inch lower springs in the back (stuff up on king springs behalf, sent new ones out at no cost)
- new diff hat from the states
Toranafest entry form has been sent and motto farm accommodation has been booked, we have a deadline, and we will get it finished!

Thinking about flow-coating then cutting and buffing. Lot of work though, still undecided, its up to dad really.
EDIT: Or maybe it was one or the other, not sure, I'm not a painter lol.
