Did the builder opt for a smaller valve stem? Ie 5/16

Sorry, I remember now. 5/16th stem, yes.

You got some nice gear, is the crank gun drilled? What harmonic balancer do you intend on using? Be great to see how much HP you can get.

Regards

Thanks, not sure on the crank, but I don't think so.

Probably ATI, but not 100% sure as of yet

If you are refurring to the ATI Superdamper I'm looking to adapt one too. there is a bit of mucking around to do.

I'm looking at the Toyota super damper because it may have the serpentine belt around the outside, would have to fit a bigger pulley on the alternator to slow it down.

A damper with the belt drive around the outside would fit in an LC/LJ.

Thanks for the positive comments guys, stoked with how the body came out.

Hopefully going to make tfest, have booked accom and entered. Be good to have a chat with some forum members.

Side windows should be going in tomorrow. Ps. Anyone know how to remove the chrome handles in the small 1/4 windows?? Need to put them in the new glass but stuffed if I know how to get them apart. Will have to have a search on the forum..

Dry sump tank has been ordered, should be here soon.

Will all come down to how long the engine takes if it will be done in time for tfest, need it in the next 2 months or we will probably run out of time. It is all coming together though, shouldn't be too much longer.

Ryan,

I think Grant is talking about the window latch, but I'm sure you screw the pin out and your left with a bracket riveted to frame.

Ryan... if your asking about the front quarter windows ...there is a small pin you have to remove from handle locking part...

Yep, small pin to punch out.  sorry I was thinking of rear flip out windows which have the screw out pin.

Unfortunately decided to cancel the accommodation at Motto Farm as at this stage, it doesn't look like the torana will be finished in time for toranafest. Should be done by the end of the year, but September might be pushing it a bit.

On the plus side, there has been a bit of progress. Have got the dry sump ready to mount into the boot and 1in ID alloy hardlines have been routed under the car with bulkheads for -16AN braid at the ends (engine builder didn't want to run full length braid incase it collapsed or pulses under scavenge). Have also got -6AN alloy fuel lines for under car, but yet to do them.

Engine has been CNC decked and honed and the engine is now in the assembly room I believe. Not too far off ordering the motec so that the wiring guy can start to do his business.

I have my HSC trial examinations until mid August so won't be doing much more until then, dad might have a tinker without me though.

Might be able to check progress on the engine next weekend as I'm going to the Griffith uni open day up the coast on Sunday, so that'll be good.
