Anyone used the serpentine set up for the alternator? VT set up.

Not worth the hassle so always v belt setup as it interchanges with lh/x torrie alternator setup....can mix n match vn-vs commo multi-rib pulleys with it but it's bulky,takes up more room & not as neat.

 

Even easier to go short nose water pump,single row water pump & crank pulley from kingswood or should be able to get new from roadstar parts in nsw.

 

Never done it but fair sure

I used the 4PK/Multi-Rip design pulleys on my Holden V8.

At the risk of being a nit-picker, they actually don't call it a "serpentine" belt unless it both ways as it snakes through the pulleys.

I found I needed more traction for the alternator after upgrading it
