floor pan rust rear chassis

Help needed,after pulling out the carpets i found that under the rear seat has had water sitting for a long time.
I can get a new floor and an under seat panel but i am not sure about the chassis rivots
Can these be replaced with bolts or any other hardware.

Hard to see from the photo?
Are the factory rivets you talking about the ones that secure the diff arm brackets?
You would be better off sourcing the whole panel from a wreck and replacing the section with the brackets intact.

i have seen cars repaired with high tensile steel bolts and nuts. these then get spot welded at the nut not to loosen.

Yes they are the factory rivots that hold the diiff arms,if i can use high tensile bolts will this still pass for a roadwothy?

"IF" it was knocked on rego then yes it would have to be engineered, any modification to the chassis should be approved.

I may be wrong but but I believe L34's had the rivets replaced with bolts from the factory.

Thanks for all the advice,i have spoken to an engineer and these rivets were fitted hot, when they are crushed they expand in the middle aswell as the top and bottom locking everything in place.bolts dont expand in the centre.
I have just been lucky enough to get a complete rear cut from a uc torana for $200.
I realise that the diff mounts are different but i have a vl v8lsd diff that needs the mounts changed so i will do it to siut the uc mounts
