I have 50,000 square metres of land and was going to make a 202 powered boat mower, but now the mind boggles. Dave I

start off small scale?
build a Starfire V8
At the moment its just for fun as an engineering challenge ,and it would be fun to build as well . If i was serious about making power i would do an AFR headed 434ci small block .
As with all engineering projects we would have to first demonstrate the idea will work as simply as possible and then look at the engineering changes needed to make reliable power which would depend on the cylinder heads used . It would be ok in a rear engined digger only because driving through shrapnel doesnt appeal to me .
I think the lthe blocks will have to be dowelled ,through bolted as well as have bosses welded to the outside to make it rigid and then build from there.

What an awsome machine ,good to see there are more people like us . I reckon the flat 12 would be good in a bike with a shortened powerglide behind ,the rocker covers would be footrests .

Hi Craig,
I wonder how two 427ci would go competing on the same exit gear, but looks like a nice set up. Dave I

This project was attempted by some guys in the late 70s early 80s
Last I heard they were very close to having it completed.
Will have to chase up some old friends from back in the day to see if anyone remembers if it got finished.
Pretty sure it was being attempted as an engineering project at a TAFE in SW Sydney area.
Deaths and alzheimers may make the search difficult

Very Good,
As Invention has been Invented in the Past, some Inventors like to put their hand to a project to see if they can achieve something.
I like to attempt things that have or have not been done too.
We need someone to join two Chev 292 6's together as well.
