Obviously weather is getting pretty ordinary now however was thinking if there was enough interest we could have plenty of lead time and set date in October or early November when we are all looking to dust off our cars.
Just a thought.

I'd love to go, but with the Torana still looking like that <-- I would be in the VX SS.

I might be up for it. Have you considered a overnighter? That's a long drive for 1 day, cheers Aaron.
Yes we could Aaron. I have an apartment in Apollo Bay. It would sleep around 8 people. I could also maybe get a good rate for another one. Ther are plenty of accomodation options especially at that time of the year. Lets see how the interest continues to build.
We could also shorten it up and only g to Lorne and then back inland via Deans Marsh as anther option so it could be done in one day.

al,
My SMP coupe is not a factory SMP. It was painted approx. 8 years ago. I purchased the car 3 years ago and have only recently got it back on the road after many hours of work. { and quite a few slabs along the way }
I have built a true replica XU1 with exception to the engine.
Cheers

Sounds like a good day, you can count me in as long as it doesn't clash with my shift work.

2. Saturday or Sunday?
3. October or November?
4. Torquay to Lorne on Great Ocean Road and then inland (300 km round trip from Melbourne City) or
5. Torquay to Apollo Bay on Great Ocean Road and then inland (400km round trip from Melbourne City)?

Just a thought, what about having a meet spot say at a servo on the freeway werribee area for any guys coming from the east, etc?
Can meet there at 7am leave at 7:30am and cruise to meet spot in Torquay at 8:30am??
Any thoughts?

Late October (after Bathurst 10-13) 27th?

1. What's the earliest in the morning you would want to be in Torquay? Earliest for me to be in Torquay would be 9am but I could do a little earlier.
2. Saturday or Sunday? Either is fine.
3. October or November? I am only available late Sep on the 28th and 29th or otherwise Nov 16th, 17th, 23rd, 24th or even 30th or 1st of Dec. Unfortunately my weekends are from the start of Oct.
4. Torquay to Lorne on Great Ocean Road and then inland (300 km round trip from Melbourne City) or. I prefer the 300km trip as that will be 2 tanks full for me but could do the 400km if it was chosen.
5. Torquay to Apollo Bay on Great Ocean Road and then inland (400km round trip from Melbourne City)?
Just a thought, what about having a meet spot say at a servo on the freeway werribee area for any guys coming from the east, etc?
Sounds good to me Mark, I live close by to Werribee.
