Haha, I'm shattered I missed it as its literally been years since I last had a half decent car to go on a cruise with. I think the last cruise I went on was we went up to arthers seat down on the peninsula in April 2009 right before I wrote my old ute off!!!!!
Anyway, it looked like my day was going from bad to worse after I closed the bonnet for about the 7th or 8th time, I got fed up, dropped the clutch a little to hard in 1st, then in 2nd.....then in 3rd....anyway after the smoke & the car pointed straight again I started hearing a tap tap tap!!!!!! After I pulled up the the next set of lights it went away but haha.

Then as I pulled into Cranbourne there was a show & shine on so I ended up just pulling in there & parking it, popped the bonnet, went into office works & brought a texter & some cardboard, made a for sale sign, locked it up & walked around with the mrs looking at all the other cars.

So turned out not all was lost.

Hey Coops, that LJ you have there wouldn't happen to be a 308 would it? Test drove a green 308 LJ a few years ago and it looks exactly like your car.

Turns out it is the same car. The guy who was selling it lived in Reservoir and from memory it was advertised on ebay. If I remember correctly the guy that bought it from the guy in Reservoir advertised it on ebay a few months later. I think it had a quiksilver shifter in it and plenty of grunt.
