For a short time only mate, tax return is now gone and just like normal I have more money going out than coming in.
Grabbed a few bits while I could though as well as paying off some debt so I can build it up again in time for next years tax return lol.
Its never ending.

I'm hoping its a Lovell's thing, they are really low, but if I can get away with them I'll leave them in.
The only part that is maybe too low for rego is the flange on the exhaust, but hoping it will be Ok.
I didn't have any dramas when I drove it so fingers crossed we'll be all good.

dont forget to put a big blob of black hot glue over them connections,
it will give you more strength and some protection also.

Yep have organised the use of a hot glue gun to ensure my soldering skills aren't put to the test too much.

Hot glue added.
Much fcking around done.

Not quite as exciting as Marty's first startup video but this has been a long time coming and I am so glad its over for now.
I will need to improve it later but it works for now.
Next step is I drop her on her wheels and see if I need to change the springs, lets hope not lol.

Looks good Potta sometimes its the fiddly jobs that take the longest. And another step towards actually being able to drive the thing!
As discussed in the other thread I would be changing the shocks (you said you have some new ones) before you start looking at the springs as the culprit for any scrubbing. It would be pretty self evident looking underneath the car if the tyres have been rubbing over a long period of time. However if the car has been sitting for a while the shocks may well have gone, causing you issues.
Changing all four shocks should take no more than an hour and you should have a better idea of if it will scrub.
If it does I’d experiment with the wheels (swapping front to back) just to check its not the offset thats causing the problem as they are widened stockys.
Good luck and stick with it now your making some progress.

Yeah the rear rims have a massive offset.
As for the springs, I'll only be changing them if the car is too low to get over the pits.
I'll give it a little test over the weekend and probably put the new shockies on, it will look better at rego time anyway.

And looks like I'll be changing springs, happy days!!
The exhaust is a couple of mill too low in one spot.
Oh well, its made that decision easier anyway lol.

Yeah I know its about 1 or 2 mm too low.
Maybe I should check my tyre pressures lol

Yeah wondering if I should just get out the FBH
But that will most likely end in tears.

or 70 profile tyres
This may be your best option, pics below is my car with 60 profile on the back and 70 profile on the front. If its just for a roadworthy someone may be able to lend to a set for the day?

It certainly is an option I hadn't really thought about.
But now I will.
