Been a few holdups, I've been working on a seating solution and carpet but got sick as a dog for 4 or 5 days and couldn't drag myself off my chair to do anything.

Plus, anyone who has ever fitted carpet will know that it aint as easy as it looks.

I've got stuck on the gear stick area, tried about 4 different options and finally got one to work.

I can't say I'm 100% happy with it but it will do for now.

Going to need to get the heat gun onto the carpet cause its not quite right, but it is nearly done, I hope.

A few more holes to cut, some trimming and then put the car back together.

It is now a real race to have it ready and regoed for the cruise on 3rd November, but I'm not giving up yet.

Welcome Back Craig,

The good ole High Beam switch hey, I like them.

As for the Carpet, I like the Rubber backed Bathroom fluffy fluro green carpet and is hard to fit.

Still trying to get the fr0cking carpet sorted.

Main problem is a lack of time, too much to do and not enough time to do it in.

Plus I've been unwell and really tired so not easy to get into it.

We'll get there though, got a BIG weekend coming up.

yeah but I am also cutting out squares so I can bolt the seat to the floor

I don't think the bolts will be long enough otherwise.

All you should of done was stuck a stubby screw driver threw the bolt holes potta and got a knife ran its tip a few times round the edge of the holes and bolted them down easy as 1 2 3 now you carpet will lift around the bolted mounting rails.

Potta

So much fun toranas are for the inexperienced don't try to do you Quarter Panels or the guards you self if your having so much trouble with just carpet      :dontknow:

Bolts never went through carpet on LCs, you need to cut a flap out from the carpet that then folds back.

Pottas little beast is far from Original i don't think a little bit of carpet would be his biggest problem

Cool Dave, I'll try that on the passenger side, at least it might look a bit neater, not that you can even see under the seats anyway, but you know.

Please don't post in my thread any more Richo, your opinion is not required or appreciated.

I think I get what you mean, I did something similar to get around my accelerator pedal.

However, I don't need any excuse to check out your car Dave, it is a favourite of mine  :spoton:

Starting to think I might make it in time for Sunday.

There were a few bits that were worrying me but got them done fairly quickly and easily, although not perfectly, but this isn't a resto.

I had to repair an old repair in the beaver where a lump of bog had fallen off.

It isn't perfect but it is better than it was.

Whoever said to sand the bog as soon as you can, thank you so much, it made it so much easier.

The boss has said I can have Friday morning off if I make up the hours so fingers crossed I'll pass inspection and be regoed by the arvo and make it for the forum run.

If not, then at least I tried.
