just wondering im fixing the heater in my lc at the moment and im running into a few problems like did they run a heater tap and where does it go and how is it controlled. i dont have alot to go off as my heater box was basicly just a cover with nothing in it when i got the car. i bought  a reproduction heater box and fixed the core iv got the fan going but i cant get the fan cover to slid into the fire wall its like the heater box is sitting to high iv check and the box is flush and flat is this just how they are? I know reproduction stuff isint great if anyone has some pictures to of how the control cable conects would be great help is their a clip that i need to hold the cable sleve to the box

any help would be great iv spent ages on it and just want to get it going

From memory the fan cover does not slide into the fire wall. Do you have the rubber seal that pushes against the fire wall? This seal should be on the fan cover and creates a seal between the fire wall and the fan box.

 

I am only working off memory. With reference to the heater tap, I am not sure wether they do have one.

No tap just hoses in and a flap to stop the hot air. Presuming its like an LJ.

thanks heaps guys iv got the rubber that goes on the cover i just figured it should slide into the fire wall and seal up against it.
