Nice work on the chassis brace Heath. What are the 'V' cutout's for?

I never noticed before how far off-centre the tailshaft is in the tunnel... is that because the gearbox sits crooked or is the floorpan itself uneven?

The transmission tunnel is asymmetrical basically the whole way along the car. My existing diff (which is not staying) has a centred pinion, and the gearbox sits exactly half way between the sills.

The 'V' cut-outs are just to clear the 'bead' type swage lines in the floorpan in those areas.

Heath,

have you considered a few drainage holes in the lowest points of the brace? you don't want water trapped in there...

looks freaking amazing by the way... so nice

Looks great Heath! One quick question though, the brace on the loop, would it be more beneficial if it ran the full length from the front Crossmember mount to the rear diffs front trailing arm mount? I believe they are directly in line and I think a couple guys here gave done it to connect the front to rear a bit more firmly.

Well it has been ages obviously... basically nothing has happened.

Put a lot of hard yards in on my wagon for months and have been enjoying that. Struggling to conjure up motivation for the hatch. Not sure what to do on the car next; quite a long list to choose from.

Well many months have passed and I'm just easing back into getting shit done.

Had my offset crossmember mounts milled up:

Fit up a treat:

Also bought a Yella Terra 10.8kg Holden V8 Flywheel:

Also was convinced to delete the standard heater box etc. when I saw the black 'LX SS' showcar up at Toranafest. Had to pick a job to start with.
