Well isn't it about time (30 years or so) Holden released more photos of all Torana's being built, tested and the processes they used back then to make them at the factory or donate photos to this great forum or maybe a book on the subject!

Holden mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, they say they dont have much in there archives, but Just Holden magazine seem to get access to rare photos from GMH, they must have lots of stuff, they are just very guarded with it,they say they dont have any photos of the V8 LJ Prototypes, i have asked them a few times over the years or any records from there service garage that serviced them.

Looks very similar to the processes they are still using for the new Commodore.
No wonder they're not making any money.

Hey Potta, you should come over to SA and go on a factory tour. There is now an incredible amount of automation and robotics,
Here you go!

Haha yeah I know, that was very tongue in cheek.
I still think they could do it better though but that would cost big $$
But that is from a position of having no idea about building cars on an assembly line.

and looking closer too Brett,
I see the paper work on the windscreen and side window, and even on the dashboard, which has that round thing and paper work in both front two Torana's.
Also the extra Rubbers on the Bumper.

My SS L31 Hatchback (1977 Model) M21 4 Speed, 2.78 LSD (Fine Spline Axles) Had a Factory A9X Radiator and A9X Thermo Fan and A9X overflow bottle, my guess it was put in by accident by factory, as the first owner said it was in the car when it arrived, and he did not order it for it, the car would do 100 kph in 1st gear.
