Great work Al, looks like your booth is working out to plan! That colour has gone on real nice, a testament to your meticulous prep work. I'll never grow tired of watching these cars get restored, especially when it's at this standard.

I haven't been on the forums for a little while so was looking forward to seeing some updates and you certainly did not disappoint me! This was the one I was most looking forward to and wow I was super stoked to see the progress! Really loving those vids, it's got me thinking that I probably should be taking a few of mine.

Keep up the great work mate!

Looks great! A good ad for PPG paint. :-) With the front guards, did you touch the cut lip yourself at all, or is it just the stock guard bend?

The guard has been trimmed just below the stock bend in the wheel arch....left about 12mm just for a bit of strength but still clears my wheels.

Cool, love the video updates and pearls of wisdom in them. My only suggestion is to try and keep the vids around 2mins or so, as people's attention spans these days aren't great... :-)

I am currently fitting my flares, Wilsons as well, and I found the same after they sat for four years or so - a bit warped here and there. I have them on and am now cutting them to clear my 17s. The rears are ok, but the fronts need a bit cut out to clear. Did you need to do much? Once I have them cut and glassed, i will try and get them as clean as yours, as per earlier in your thread. I will get some Re-Face next week.

Keep 'em coming! Not long now.

Heres the final video

This is how you remove the fine line tape correctly to get a razor sharp straight paint edge.

Heres Rusty coming together

Just the stencils and bottom of flares to go.

Would yous like a video of the stencils being done...it can be arranged.
